  • holly river state park

    With 8,101 acres of dense forest, Holly River is West Virginia’s second largest state park. Located in a narrow valley in the Mountain Lakes region, the park is surrounded by heavily forested mountains, some reaching more than 2,800 feet in height. Recreational opportunities in this park include camping, hiking, swimming and tennis. Amenities include picnic shelters, the Holly River Restaurant and corrals for campers with horses. Holly River Restaurant is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day then on weekends in April, May, September and October.

    Cabins: These cozy cabins constructed of natural stone and logs that are surrounded by a dense forest of rhododendron and sturdy hemlock. They are set up to accommodate either two or four people.

    Cabins 1 through 9 are available from April through November, and Cabin 10 is available year-round. Cabins 6, 9 and 10 are pet-friendly.

    Camping: There are 88 units with electric hookups, picnic tables and cooking grills. A dumping station and four-centralized bathhouses are available as well as two coin-operated washers and dryers.

    Only one tent or trailer is allowed per site.

    The campground is open spring through fall, weather permitting. Campsites may be reserved anytime online, by phone, or at the campground office. There is a 14-night maximum stay.

  • Basecamp Williams River

    Basecamp Williams River is a campground offering the unique “glamping” experience. Their vision is to offer luxury, first class camping accommodations to a very under appreciated and under served part of the Monongahela National Forest.

    Located on twelve acres of forested land that shares a border with the national forest, the site allows you to take advantage of the nearby hiking trails, fishing streams and hunting opportunities.

  • CAMP CAESAR

    Also known as the Webster County 4-H Camp, Camp Caesar is a historic campsite located in Cowen.

    It offers a peaceful mountain setting for camps, youth rallies, conferences, day events, spiritual retreats, and much more. With 13 community-style housing quarters, 2 assembly halls and over 10 classrooms, there is plenty of room for your comfort. A silent meditation area and a fully enclosed council circle are available, and for entertainment, there is also an outdoor stage, 2 pavilions, and a large swimming pool to utilize during your stay.

    The camp’s facilities are available from March - December.

  • Cowger's riverside campground

    Hidden in the West Virginia hills, along the winding Elk River in Webster Springs, Cowger's Campground is the perfect place to relax. They are available for wedding parties or guests, reunions, getaways, or visiting loved ones.

    Offering cabins and full-service hook-up campsites, dump stations, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Within walking distance of Webster Springs (Addison), Baker's Island recreation complex/outdoor pool, a grocery store, pharmacies, and restaurants.

  • TEA CREEK CAMPGROUND

    Tea Creek Campground is a spacious 28-site campground is tucked away at the intersection of the Williams River and Tea Creek. This campground is a recreational hub of the area with four trailheads located within the campground and walking distance to most of the Tea Creek Trail System.

    Each camping site is equipped with a parking spur, picnic table, fire ring with a grill, waste receptacle and a lantern hookup. Visitors are encouraged to use the three bear-proof trash cages located throughout the campground during their visit. Dogs are allowed on leash.

    Season: 4/15 - 11/30; Fee: $10.00 per night payable at the camping self-service fee station with a 14 day limit.

  • cranberry campground

    Cranberry Campground features 22 single campsites, 2 walk-in single sites and 4 double sites in two loops. Most sites can accommodate a 40' trailer. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, lantern post and gravel parking spur. There are two hand pumps and four accessible vault toilets. There is no electricity available but the use of generators is permitted from 6am until 10pm. No dump station is available at campground.

    Maximum length of stay is 14 days. Dogs are permitted if on a leash at all times.

    Discharging and draining gray water and black water (sewage) onto National Forest Lands is illegal and punishable by fines.

    Season: 4/15 - 11/30; Fee: $10.00 single, $20 double.

    A 50+unit wooded, semi-primitive campground centrally located on a ridge top between the Cranberry and Williams Rivers.

    There are two loops of first come, first serve basis with 47 single campsites and 6 double sites. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring and lantern post with a gravel parking spur and an activity area. There is one hand pump in each loop. There are 4 accessible vault toilet buildings.

    Sites are not reservable and are first come, first serve.

    Discharging and draining gray water and black water (sewage) onto National Forest Lands is illegal and punishable by fines.

    Season: 4/15 - 11/30; Fee: $8.00 single, $16 double.
